Early Life and Education

Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton was born on October 26, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Wellesley College, graduating in 1969. She then earned a law degree from Yale Law School in 1973.

Political Career

After graduating from law school, Clinton worked as a legal aid attorney. She was also active in politics, serving as a staff attorney for the House Judiciary Committee and later as the first lady of Arkansas while her husband, Bill Clinton, was governor.

Later Career

In 1992, Hillary Clinton was elected to the U.S. Senate from New York. She served two terms in the Senate, becoming the first woman to be elected to the Senate from New York. In 2001, she ran for president but lost the nomination to Barack Obama. In 2009, she was appointed Secretary of State by President Obama, serving until 2013. She ran for president again in 2016 but lost to Donald Trump.
